The last recall, in 2009, eventually trickled down to include some peanut-butter based dog treats and some wild bird foods. We know that many people use peanut butter as a treat or to help get medication into their pets, so your pets could also be affected by this current recall. Check your pantry and make sure you don’t have any of the recalled product on hand.

It’s important not to overfeed your cat! Measure the amount of food to prevent overeating. Cats usually do better when they are fed canned food (with a small amount of dry kibble for treats). These things will help prevent obesity and the problems that are caused by obesity (diabetes, arthritis….).
