The holidays are certainly a festive time, but they can also be a risky time for your pets. Keep your holidays happy and safe by avoiding some of the risky holiday behaviors:

Squirrel control ideas.

It’s squirrel breeding season. They are looking for places to nest. Ways to keep them out of your garage/attic: strobe lights, motion lights, LOUD music (rap), keep things clean, seal holes with aluminum or wire.

ASPCAs Cruelty Intervention Advocacy program administers Partners in Caring Grants which provide grants to financially disadvantaged pet owners for emergency veterinary care in times of crisis. At this time the ASPCA has support available for New York City pet owners that have been directly impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

November is Pet Diabetes Month. You can take a quiz, linked below, to assess your pet’s risk for the disease. And if you suspect that your pet has diabetes, visit your veterinarian, who can provide a diagnosis and recommend treatment.
